Corey Webber is the Creature Creator. Born in 1963 in Hollywood, California, Corey took to art as soon as he was able to hold a crayon. Throughout his childhood, Corey developed an appreciation for all creatures. Be they of animal origin, or created entertainment arts origin. He would often sit and draw various creatures for hours at a time. This infatuation was spurred on by The Planet of the Apes movie franchise. Corey began making 8mm home movies and started making costumes, (with the great help of mom) and creating characters for these productions. These years of artistic expression made it clear that some how Corey's life would end up being centered upon his passion for his art of creating creatures. After high school, Corey embarked on a long journey into the family automobile dealership business. In the late 80's Corey re-discovered his love for creature creation and started to create Halloween costumes for contests. By the late 90's they became 8-10 foot behemoth's that would make the crowd's shriek in amazement! In 1999 Corey stopped only applying these elaborate makeup's on himself, and embarked on the next phase of his artistic life. For 3 years Corey worked as an FX Makeup Artist on the Queen Mary for their haunted Shipwreck Halloween attraction. It was here that Corey first started using an airbrush. He has not put it down since! In 2003 he received a call from his buddy Mitch whom he met while working on the Queen. Mitch asked if he would like to work a day on a low budget horror feature film. Since that day, Corey has now worked on over 20 horror films and has gone from a day player to the FX department head. You can access this part of his career on IMDB.com. In 2006 he added making elaborate creations for his son Jake to compete with @ Comic-Con's Masquerade. (Jake is now a multiple trophy winner). In 2008 with Jake wanting to develop as an actor, they discovered The Boys and Girls Club of Huntington Valley Clubhouse Theatre. While Jake was acting in the productions, Corey started doing the kids makeup. Corey has now since added directing responsibilities to the mix and is currently directing his 5th production. During his time with the kids, he has also branched into face painting and airbrush art. Will you be his next creation?!?
